Nobody will trust me for a review if I keep giving books 10's...but...I only want to review them if I loved them so much I can't stand it. This book in particular. It is pure poetry. You almost want to read it out loud it sounds so good. If you've seen the movie, then you sort of know the feeling the book will give you. You find yourself being sucked into the lives of these girls, and just like our narrators, you want to know everything about them. Eugenides teases the reader so well with snippets of information, the hint that there were photographs. At one point I actually looked for an appendix in the back of the book that might have had the photos in question. It's astounding on every level.
