Coming from the Linux/Open Source world the constant monitoring and data mining of MacOs is not something I enjoy. In order to try to limit what Apple can siphon from my being I look for Open Source alternatives that simply download, organize and play podcasts.

Doughnut is a great Podcast app that is just that. Downloads, organizes and plays podcasts you subscribe to. Why should Apple know what podcasts I listen to?
There are two features I would love but not deal breakers.
1. 30 second skip button. If pod casters are paying Doughnut not to have a skip commercial button I get it, but otherwise...
2. A control for the speed of play back. Maybe a sign that I should slow down to normal speed.
